irene's stories
Irene's Stories is my small family-owned soap workshop, registered under GR93003232, born from my love for nature, Crete, and one of the most precious gifts of our land: olive oil.
Every creation has its own story. A story that begins with extra virgin olive oil from our own production and continues with carefully selected natural raw materials, valuable botanical ingredients, and a great deal of personal care. My aim is to make respectful use of the natural richness of the Cretan land and create authentic cleansing and body care products that bring a little more nature into everyday life. My passion for natural ingredients led me, in 2022, to further my knowledge through specialised training in Cosmetology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, completing the programme: “Methods for the Preparation of Cosmetics Using Natural Raw Materials and Medicinal Plants.” This knowledge came together with experience, tradition, and my desire to create consciously and with genuine respect for every ingredient I use.
From Olive Oil to a Story
Our soaps are made using the traditional cold-process method, with ingredients blended at low temperatures. This gentle process helps preserve as much as possible of the natural characteristics and qualities of the carefully selected ingredients. Everything is produced in small batches, making each bar of soap unique in its own way. From preparation to final packaging, every stage is carried out by hand, with time, patience, and personal attention. Our formulas are based on natural raw materials and are created without synthetic colourants, animal fats, or petrochemical derivatives.
In Harmony with Nature
For me, caring for nature is not simply a choice. It is part of the way I create. With environmental awareness at the heart of the process, I strive to keep our footprint as small as possible at every stage, from sourcing ingredients to production and packaging. Nature has its own rhythm and its own wisdom. Every season, every harvest, and every fruit of the land has its own character. That is why the quantities and availability of our products may vary, following what the earth naturally provides. Ι choose to respect this rhythm, taking only what is needed and creating with care, always trying to keep every step of the process as close to nature’s balance as possible.
Small Batches, Great Care
I want every soap and every creation to carry something of our land, something of the season, the hands that made it, and the love with which it was created. Authentic ingredients, knowledge, craftsmanship, and a deep love for nature are at the heart of every one of my stories. Each creation is a small way of sharing with you something of Crete, its nature, and our way of life, so that it can become part of your own everyday moments.
